Only 20 episodes left...

5.12 "Dead is Dead"

...and thank god for that. I just don't think I could take any more of this show. For one thing, despite the fact that Ben Linus seems to be absolutely everyone's favorite, I'm still only managing to just tolerate him. For another thing, this mystery is just wearing on me. I just don't really care anymore. And I am certainly not looking forward to 20 more episodes of John Locke's smugness. That's been grating since he started with that "knowing" bullshit halfway through the first season. I wasn't even intrigued when it was implied that Ilana and some of the other 316 passengers are related to the island and seem to be going to the four-toed statue. And up until now the mystery of that statue had been the only thing keeping me going. Although because of the hieroglyphs under the temple in this one, I'm thinking the statue was Anubis. Which I don't find even remotely exciting. As I was saying, I'm tired of this show.

I didn't even comment on last week because it was a Kate episode, and there's really nothing to be said about that. The best part of the episode was Juliet bitching out Jack for being an asshole. I really wished she'd bitch slapped him though. If ever there was a guy who could use some "what did the five fingers say to the face?".

Anyway, even though it was a Kate episode, last week was about Ben. This week was about Ben. I'm tired of Ben. Luckily next week looks like a Miles episode. That's almost as good as Sawyer. Actually better now that Sawyer's all angsty.
