Why are all of my fandoms hated?

I just checked the Save Our Show poll results at the E!Online site. Veronica Mars had 1.9 million votes, a close second behind Gilmore Girls 2.2 million, and a million more than the third place show. When I read the comments, a number of them were positive endorsements for VM, but one looked like this:

What a joke you and this contest are. You must be a moron to not acknowledge that Veronica fans stuffed the box using tricks and programming. Hopefully the TV execs will see you for the crock of bull that you are!

And several others were similar. These things sounded a lot like what some people say about Firefly/Serenity fans. Admittedly Browncoats can be over the top and obnoxious sometimes, but I still don't understand the hatred directed towards some fandoms. So we like a show that you don't like? I have no doubt that you like a show that we don't like. If you don't like it when large groups of fans get together to support their show, then don't get together in a large group to support your show and contribute to fandom. We don't mind.

Now if it's a member of a rival fandom then my previous comments don't apply. Members of my fandoms are probably doing the same thing to yours that you're doing to mine, so that's fair. I'm just talking about the people that seem to have something against active fan communities in general.
